The mum and baby brands on Instagram every new mum needs to know about

We are in a world now where thankfully small and unique products are more accessible than ever. But if you don’t spend your life scrolling through Instagram [clears throat- unlike us], you might not find out about them to start with.

Enter Mush 👋. Each month we will be presenting the new lovely things we have stumbled across. Giving you a story on where they came from, as well as what they do, we hope we can shine a light on the brilliant brands doing awesome things.

So without further ado, here are Mush’s November picks:

The George Bear Company

We love George Bear because they boast an extensive range of animals and toys for imaginative play. Every toy is hand knitted from the finest cashmere blended wool to ensure it gives the softest cuddle and is health and safety tested so suitable from birth. Another reason we adore them is because a portion of their profits also go to Tommy’s: the brilliant charity who support families who experience baby loss.

Toastie Kids

If you are looking for sustainable, weather-proof clothing for children that is both timeless and wearable then look no further! Introducing Toastie Kids. The peach-soft shell of their rainwear makes them our favourite for keeping our little ones cosy and warm.  It is made out of recycled plastic bottles (on average, each of our raincoats are made out of 7 plastic bottles and each of their dungarees are made out of 6 plastic bottles.)  It contradicts the assumption of how rainwear should appear, as you do not associate something so soft and comfortable with being fully waterproof.

With families spending more time at home it’s nice to make the kids feel special in their bedtime clothes – which often remain worn for the majority of the day too in our house! Perfect for snuggling up on the sofa and in bed, LOLA + BLAKE specialise in nightwear and accessories for 0-8 year olds. Their products are designed out of a love for colour and pattern, and a desire to inspire creativity and dreams in your little ones. The hand-illustrated, storytelling, pure cotton fabrics make bedtime fun and aim to instil a positive relationship with sleep. Having had both a son and daughter, creator Kat felt there was a real need in the market for great quality, unisex nightwear that moved away from the standard neutral colour palette. The pieces are created to be sustainably handed down and stand the test of time both in design-quality and appearance.
